Max speed of 735 MPHIf you get all the racers Anakin will have a max speed of 735 MPH. 
Quick startWhen the start clock hits 1, press start till it's paused. Then push start and A at the same time and you will get a jump start on the race. Very helpful for pods with low acceleration.
Recharge your podTo recharge your pod, hold the brake while racing. It my slow your pod down for a little while, but it could make the difference in the margin of victory. 
ShortcutIn the third level of the Tatoonie races there is a shortcut about 1/3 of the way through the course. It is on the left side of a long plane. It shaves a good number of seconds off your time!
