How to get the Silver TrophySent in by Craig Simpson First have the following ready:Two Game BoysGame LinkPokemon Gold or SilverPokemon Red, Blue, or YellowN64 and controllerTransfer PakPokemon StadiumProcedure:Win a Pokemon Present in Pokemon Stadium's Gym Leader Castle. Transfer the Pokemon into red, blue, or yellow. Hook up R,B,Y and G,S. Have an original Pokemon in Gold and Silver ready to trade. Have the Stadium Pokemon ready to trade in red, blue, or yellow. Then perform the TIME CAPSULE TRADING PROCEDURE. Trade the two Pokemon and then check out G,S's new Pokemon it has a NORMAL BOX attached to it. Remove it from the Pokemon and "use" it. That will open it and you have a silver trophy to put in your room.How it works:When a Pokemon with this ID: STADIUM id# 02000 enters gold and silver it carries a silver trophy.

He will tell you that he lost his Farfech'd and his master will be mad.You need to find the Farfech'd. You must get behind the Farfech'd and chase it toward the guy. Then when you get back, his master will be there. Talk to him and he'll give you HM01.
Radio cardSent in by VictreebelTo get the radio card, go to the radio tower in Goldenrod City and talk to the green-haired girl at the counter. Answer her questions correctly and you'll get the card, which allows you to listen to the radio on your Poke Gear. 
Tips on beating the Gym LeadersSent in by VictreebelFalkner - He uses Flying-types. A Geodude with Rock Throw (it learns it at level 11) works very well here. You can also trade a Bellsprout for an Onix, who also works well against Flying-types, in Violet City. Bugsy - His Pokemon are Bug-type, so hit them with Fire, Flying, or Poison attacks. Cyndaquil, Pidgey, Spearow, Hoothoot, and Beedrill all work well here. Scyther is Flying as well as Bug, so Electricity and Rock attacks will also work. Whitney - This is a pretty tough one. Her Pokemon are all Normal-types,which are only weak to Fighting. However, there aren't any Fighting types this early in the game (unless you trade), so go with Rock types, or a Ghost-type with non-Ghost attacks. Morty - He has Ghost types. Dark and Bug types will work well here. Since all of his Pokemon are Poison as well as Ghost, Ground and Psychic attacks will work, too. Chuck - His Pokemon are all Fighting types, which are weak against Psychic and Flying. Ghost types are also good choices, because they're immune to Fighting type attacks. You can also use Grass or Electricity against the part-Water Poliwrath. Jasmine - She uses one of the new Pokemon types, Steel. Steel is resistant to all kinds of stuff, so a lot of your attacks won't work, but they are weak against Fighting and Fire. Ground will also work against the two Magnemites. Pryce - He has Ice types. Most people think you need to use a Fire type here, but almost all Ice-types have a second type that is resistant to Fire (in this case, Water and Ground). Rock is also strong against Ice, but since most Rock-types are weak against Ice, that wouldn't be a good choice either. The easiest way to beat this gym is to simply zap Seel and Dewgong with Electric attacks and use Grass or Water against the Piloswine. Clair - The last gym leader, she uses Dragon-types. Dragons are only weak to Ice and other Dragons, so go into the nearby Ice Cave and catch a Jynx, Swinub, or any other Ice-type and raise it until it learns some powerful Ice moves. Watch out for Kingdra; its added Water type makes it quite resistant to Ice. Its only weakness is Dragon-types, but since there aren't many of those around, it's better to just attack it with the strongest Normal-type attacks you have. 
Mystery GiftSent in by Jonathan1) Play until you reach Goldenrod.2) Go to the 5th floor of the Mart3) She will tells you about with a simple beep, you'll get a mystery gift ability. Save your game right after she says that.4) Turn off your game and start it up again.5) Go to the menu (with Continue, New Game, etc.) and you will see a mystery gift.6) Hook up with a friend using the infrared connector (must have Game Boy Color), and get a mystery gift.NOTE: You can do it with the same person once every day, and up to 5 people daily. It'll usually be decorations for your room, but sometimes cool times.
Elite Four TipsSent in by JonathanIf you have no Pokemon above 60, it would be wise to do shopping first. I suggest buying 3 to 6 revives and 5 to 10 Hyper Potions. It will come in handy. You will be reimbursed big time when you beat them.Know your opponents. Know their Pokemon they use and what is good against them. It is usually good to know what they use first and what move. For instance, Lance uses Gyarados first, and he always does Rain Dance (I use the Silver version, so if you have Gold, it might be different, I have no idea!). If you usually go first of the Pokemon, you know to do a high powered move. If you have a weaker Pokemon, on the second move, you could do a self-healing move or something.Heal when you need to! Since mainly you don't have all six of your Pokemon above 40 or 50 when you reach the Elite Four at first. So, when you are almost faint or already fainted, switch to a weak Pokemon you know can't do squat against the Elite Four, and put a revive or hyper potion on them.Use a great type-difference Pokemon! Fire against water, Water against fire and rock, etc., etc., etc.! This really helps.Use your breaks! If your Pokemon are looking pretty low after a trainer, heal them, or whatever. And remember to save.
Set timePress Down + Select + B at the title screen. Enter your trainer ID as thepassword and you can change the time.
King's SymbolGo to the town where you had to rescue the Slowpokes from the Rockets. Enter the cave where you got the Slowpokes from the two Rockets. UseStrength and push the boulder, then Surf in the pond. Find the ladder, go to it, and Surf. Talk to everyone there in that part of the cave. Someone will give you the King's Symbol.
Duplicate Items/Clone PokemonGo to a PC, and save. Attach the item you want to duplicate to the Pokemon you want to clone. Deposit it into the PC. Change boxes. When the screen is saying "Saving the game..." Turn off your GB. Turn it back on. You should have the deposited Pokemon in the PC, and a clone of it in your lineup. The item will either be on both monsters, or in your Backpack. Note: While doing this code, DO NOT withdraw any Pokemon. When the Game Boy is turned back on, you'll find that the withdrawn Pokemon has been deleted. Note: You can duplicate up to 5 items/Pokemon at a time.
Annon PokedexFirst, solve the Kabuto puzzle, which you should know how to get to. The rest will require the HM for Surf, found in Enjyu City, TM 08 (Rock Breaker), and the HM for Strength. Surf down by the Ancient Ruins (below Kickyou City) and solve the puzzle there. The puzzles should be somewhat easy. Just put in the corner pieces first. Then, go to the Connection Cave. Walk around and find the Pokemaniac. If you have not defeated him, fight him. Then Surf in the waters near him. You will have to return here twice. Break the rock you find, and solve the puzzle. Then return, move the boulder, and solve the last puzzle. Catch the different Annon, then exit the ruins. Talk to the scientist near the cave and he will give you a complimentary Annon Pokedex.
Anno'un MusicWhile in the Alpha Ruins southeast of Kikyou city go to the Pokegear option in the menu screen. Go to the radio option and on the fourteenth to thetwentieth channel you can find a station Called ??????. That is the Ann'ounMusic. It can only be heard at Alpha Ruins.
?????? StationWhen in the Alpha Ruins, tuning into the ????? station makes it easier for you to find the unknown Pokemonm makes them easier to catch, or makes you feel scared and alone.
Pokemon LocationsHo-oh -- There is only one Ho-oh in Gold and Silver, so make sure you catch it. You can find it on top of the Tin Tower, but you'll need the Rainbow Wing to go up there. You get the Rainbow Wing from the Radio Station Manager in Goldenrod City (Gold version) or the old man in Pewter City (Silver version).Lugia -- You can find Lugia in Whirl Island, off Route 41. You'll need to know the HM 06 Whirpool technique to get in as well as the Silver Wing. You can find the latter in Pewter City (Gold) or the Radio Station in Goldenrod City (Silver).Chikorita, Totodile, Cyndaquil -- These are the three starting Pokemon inGold/Silver. You have to pick one of the three, if you want the others, you'll have to trade with a friend.Entei, Suicune, Raiko -- Dogs, cats, what are they? Who cares! They're cool and they're exceedingly rare. To catch these guys, go to the Burned Tower in Ecruteak City. When you get close to them, they will run away. After this brief encounter, these fast creatures will roam around Johto. So where do you find them? Check your Pokedex and have some Fast Balls ready.Togepi -- Professor Elm's assistant will give you an egg in Violet City after you beat the Gym Leader there. It will hatch into Togepi.Tyrogue -- You can get this young Fighting Pokemon from Blackbelt Kyo (ifyou have an empty slot in your party) in Mt. Mortar, or simply breed one using Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee and a Ditto.Sudowoodo -- This odd Rock type blocks your way on Route 36 (just like Snorlax). Train it to level 30, and to get Denryuu. Gold Gyarados -- Go to the fourth gym and SURF right all the way. You will SURF in the water should see a Gyarados. Battle it, and it will be golden.Haganal -- Equip the Metal Coat on Onix and trade it to another Game Boy. It will evolve into Haganal.Kirehana -- Give Gloom a Solar Stone and it will evolve into a Kirehana. You cannot evolve Kirehana into Vileplume.Lapras -- Enter the cave in the second city and SURF. You should be able to see Lapras. There is only one.Lugia (Silver version) -- Learn HM06 (Whirlpool) and go to the place where you received the fifth badge. Destroy a whirlpoor and enter the cave. Go through the maze and you will reach Lugia.Lugia (Gold version) -- Go to Pewter City and talk to the old man. He will give you a silver feather. Now, go to the place where Lugia is located in the Gold version to find it.Kingdra -- Equip Seadra with the Symbol of King, and then trade it.Kirehana -- Give Gloom a Solar Stone and it will evolve into Kirehana.Note: You cannot evolve Kirehana into Vileploom.Magikarp, Golden -- Breed the Golden Gyarados with a regular Gyarados to get a Golden Magikarp.Muchuru -- Breed Jynx with anything that has the same symbol while looking at your party to get Muchuru.Pikachu -- Transfer a Pikachu from Pokemon Yellow into the game. There is only one Metal Coat in the game.Slowking -- Equip Slowpoke with the Symbol of King, and then trade it.Steelix -- Get the Metal Coat and have Onix hold it. Trade Onix to another Game Boy Color and it will evolve into Steelix. There is only one Metal Coat in the game.Sudowoodo -- This odd Rock type blocks your way on Route 36 (just like Snorlax). Use the Squirtbottle from Goldenrod City to battle it.Tyrouge -- Use the following trick to getting all Tyrouge evolutions. Get Tyrouge and raise its attack level higher than its defense. Then, raise it to Lv. 20. It will evolve into Hitmonchan. Breed this Hitmonchan with a Ditto to hatch another Tyrouge. This time, raise its defense higher than its attack. It should evolve into Hitmonlee at Lv. 20. Once again, breed it with a Ditto to hatch yet another Tyrouge. Raise its defense and offense to be equal and evolve him at Lv. 20. This hatching trick may also be done with Eevee(Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Espeon, and Umbreon); Poliwhirl (Poliwrath and Politoed); and Gloom (Vileplume and Bellosom).Togepi -- Defeat the first gym and go into the Pokecenter. Talk to the scientist and he will give you a egg. After 5,000 steps, it will hatch into Togepi.Yadoking -- Equip Symbol Of King on Slowpoke and trade it into another Game Boy. It will evolve into Yadoking.
Three legendary dogsWhen in Azlea town, go into the burned tower. Choose the path to the left, smash the cracked rock, and proceed forward. Do not drop into the hole next to the trainer yet. You will see a hole exactly in the middle of the tower. Drop down and walk ahead. The dogs will be on a platform. When you step nearby, they will run in three directions. Go look for them in the wild. When you encounter one, it will be at level 40 but will run as soon as possible. Try to put it to sleep. If you manage to damage one of them, their health will be like that the next time you encounter them. Also, after it runs away you can check the next place it has gone to. Note: If you use FLY or enter a new town or cave, it will jump to a new random place -- keep using fly until it is outside the town that you are at. The dogs cannot jump into Kanto -- they stay in the Jhoto region.
Breeding evolutionsAt the Daycare Center south of Goldenrod City on Route 33, you can give a male Pokemon and a female Pokemon to the keepers to breed new Pokemon.Eleckid: Breed two Electabuzzes.Magar: Breed two Magmars.Magikarp (Golden): Breed a Gyarados with the Red GyaradosPi: Breed two Clefairies.Pichu: Breed two Pikachus.Pinsir: Breed a Venonat.Pipurin: Breed two Jigglypuffs.Snubbull: Breed a Clefairy with a Snubbull.Tyrogue: Breed a Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee. Breed without the other half:You do not need another of the same Pokemon to breed. Get the Pokemon you want to breed and put it asmale or female. Get Ditto, place it with male or female, and let the breeding begin.
Double experience and faster level upsAfter capturing or defeating the Red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage, you will receive a Red Scale. Take it to Mr. Pokemon on Route 30 and he will give you the Experience Share. Equip that to the Pokemon you want to level up and it so it will be the first one out in a battle. Once in a battle, try to win the battle only by using that Pokemon. That Pokemon will then get the experience for winning the battle, then the same amount for having the Experience Share equipped (double experience). Items from Time Capsule PokemonWhen you use the Time Capsule to trade with the older games, every Pokemon that comes from the Red, Blue, or Yellow version will have an item equipped with them. Some will just have berries, but others have better things.
Shiny PokemonIf you want the full benefit of this tip, use a Pokemon that can evolve. Otherwise, there will be some confusion with names and so forth. First, place a flying Pokemon that has been taught FLY as the first Pokemon in your lineup, the "Golden Gyarados" as the sixth position, and the Pokemon whose color is to be changed in the second position. After doing this, put all of the Pokemon back into the PC except the first one. Next, take out the pokemon that was in the second position before, the one that will be changed. Enter the bug-catching contest that is near Kogane city. This is held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. As soon as you enter it, exit right away. When the clerk asks you if you want to quit, make sure you say NO, which is always the lower answer. Now use your Flying Pokemon to FLY out of the contest. Store the Pokemon that will be changed in a PC, then go back to the contest and say YES, the top answer, to complete the contest. Return to a PC, withdraw the Pokemon, and check its status screen. The Pokemon will be a different color, but it will have Gyarados's name. Grow the Pokemon until it evolves. You may want to use Rare Candies if you have any. Now when you go into battle with the evolved form of the original Pokemon, it will have a shining status.

Enjyu City battle (Gold version)When you go to Enjyu City, go to the tower and your rival will appear, but will not battle. However, if you first heal your Pokemon at the Pokemon Center, defeat the Ghost Gym Leader, and then go to that tower, your rival will talk to you and fights.
KantoGo to New Bark town. Find the water by your house. SURF right and keep going in that direction until you find land. You will then be in Kanto.
Female Mr. Mime (Gold version)Go to Saffron City before fighting Sabrina. Challenge Sabrina to discover that her Mr. Mime is female.
Unlimited Nuts, Ant. Nuts, or Conf. NutsGo to the plant with the desired nut and take the nut. Call someone (it does not matter who), then take another nut. You can do this as many times as needed.
Ecruteak City gymTo get to the gym leader Morty in Ecruteak City, you have to travel in the shape of an "S". Start directly in front of the first man. Then, walk to the top of the right trophy. Walk up to the old lady. Then, walk over until you are at the point where if you go up to the second old man that you will bedirectly in front of him, and go up. Then walk straight over to the second old lady. Finally, go straight up and you will be at Morty.

Metal CoatCollect all eight badges, then talk to Professor Utigi (the person from the start of the game). He will give you the S.S. Anne ticket. Go to the city where at the Gym Leader was at first not there. Go inside the house at the shore, the person will let you go through, and you will be on the S.S. Anne. You will meet a man that wants you to find his daughter on the ship.You can find her with the captain. Return her to her father, then go back and talk to the captain to receive the Metal Coat.
